Iv never been in the type of emergency situation in my life

And it's defeating me I'm trying everything to get food and shelter tonight

I lost my apartment due to a fire and was approved for emergency accommodations through Alberta works they refused to extend it and denied me emergency financial services for food while at the temporary hotel I'm a single father who hasn't been able to work since Feb due to herniated disc my son's are now staying with my mother in law my fiance mother of my kids passed two years ago I feel as though I lost it everything against my will my finances never been this bad I worked in the oilfield for years I'm not used to this poverty Alberta works denied me benefits I'm waiting for the appeal in 2-3 days I'm lost I do receive my income on May 26 I can repay than I'm desperate for any kind of help I called 211 access247 everything today and still no call from the ab works appeal office to grant me the emergency financial assistance for my situation it shouldn't have been denied in the first place I was told by other supports I'm really trying everything I am currently homeless in need of food and essentials while I'm going through this
