Dental Application Timeline

Hey guys! I got my DAT, and it was a 420. I have a 3.9 GPA and over 200 hours of both shadowing and volunteer experience. However, I decided to start over completely with my personal statement and application, which set me back. Do you think I am really late to apply now?

PAT/DAT score

Hey guys! I need some word of advice. On the last few practice tests I have been scoring 400-420, and that is on test 11-15 which are allegedly the hardest tests (someone confirm if that is true or just a rumor please), but my PAT score is not improving no matter how hard I try. The highest I am getting is around 360, I just took a subsection mini test and that was a 370. How much of a red flag is it if my AA is a 420, but my PAT is not high

Help Please, or even words of encouragement at this point, I don't know

I just rescheduled my test to July 17th (it was originally going to be July 6th). Can someone please give me advice? I am starting to feel discouraged and just on the verge of giving up. I don't know what to do and I am super burnt out. It is starting to feel like I won't ever get into at least a 420 my goal.

Dental Application Cycle

Hey guys! I need some honest advice.

So, I originally planned to take the DAT on July 6th, but I have not been scoring well on practice tests. My average scores were around 370-390. My last score dropped to a 350, which I have come to realize that I am starting to make sillier mistakes. I do think it is due to burnout, but I also know I don't have time to give myself a break. I was thinking about pushing my DAT to July 13th, but I also want to still be considered an early applicant. My personal statement is almost done. I do have to make some edits to it, and my transcript is done, as well as my recommendation letters. What is left is to write out all of my extracurricular activities and the supplementary essays, as well as some basic information. Would I be considered late if lets say, my application was submitted at the end of July? Also, I would assume it would be best to push my DAT back a week, right?

I can also send my stats if that gives a bit more context as well.

DAT study Tips

Hey guys,

I was wondering how do you study for the DAT once you are done going over content? I understand that you keep doing practice questions and practice tests, but how do you divide your time to make sure you are efficiently reviewing what you are not getting. How much time do you spend reviewing notes then doing more practice questions? Also, are you doing the generated bank questions or only the practice tests?

DAT practice Test Scores

Hey everyone, I took a practice test for the first time today and scored a 340 AA. I plan to take the DAT end of June. Do you think that is enough time to improve to get a good score of at least 420? Usually, I do really good on reading with the practice reading tests scoring in the 500s ,but I was shocked to only score a 300 on the reading when taking the full length practice test. The PAT was based on time more than anything, and I was just generally weak in the chemistry stuff, but Biology was strong which I scored a 420. I just want to know if that is a sign that I should not take the DAT end of June.
