BACK TREATMENT ? What's the future for disc treatment ?

I recently came across this article that in future knee surgery would be optional . Here I summarised the article through ai

The gist of the article is that scientists at Stanford Medicine have discovered a potential way to regrow knee cartilage and eliminate the need for knee replacement surgery using a single treatment.

Here are the key takeaways:

The Cause: A protein called 15-PGDH doubles in our knees as we age, destroying the cartilage cushion and causing arthritis.

The Solution: Researchers found a molecule that blocks this protein.

The Results: In lab tests, it successfully regrew thick, youthful cartilage in elderly mice, prevented arthritis in injured mice, and began regrowing human knee cartilage tissue within just one week.

Next Steps: An oral pill version is already undergoing clinical trials, which could completely change how knee degradation is treated.

If it truly worked for injuries wouldn't it work for back disc injuries ?

I hope something similar happens in this area.

Today I went to PT for my back problem and also the long sitting cause me sciatic pain only in my right leg ...these are my MRI FINDINGS :

Spinal Curvature: Straightening of the lumbar curvature was observed, which the radiologist noted as an indicator of para spinal muscle spasm.
Disc Condition: A mild diffuse circumferential posterior disc bulge was identified at the L4-L5 and L5-S1 levels.
Nerve Involvement: There is minimal pressure effect on the bilateral exiting nerve roots at these levels.
Normal Findings: Vertebral body heights, marrow signals, and the conus medullaris appeared normal. No acute fractures or subluxations were found.

According to my PT the main cause of my pain is straighting of lumber curvature and weak core muscle ....

I just wanna know if anyone going through same as me and their curvature has returned to normal
