I failed a 3rd year class this past year and am now going into what I had hoped to be my 4th and final year. I was planning on retaking the course this year but it’s not on the timetable. Should I do a 5th year hoping it gets offered next year or just accept that the fail will stay on my transcript with no effort to retake it? The course is not specifically required for me to graduate, if I take another on the same list I will be able to complete my degree, however I’m worried that for a masters program, they’ll look at the fail very unfavourably especially if I never retake the course.
