I fucking hate Dragonborn. They're not even dragons they're not even RELATED to dragons you wanna know why? Dragons have 6 limbs and a tail. YOU KNOW WHAT DRAGONBORNS DONT HAVE? SIX LIMBS AND A TAIL.
Dragonborn spend their whole lives cosplaying as Dragons acting like they're some sort of special species descended directly from dragons. The worst part? THEY CAN'T EVEN AGREE ON THEIR OWN DAMN ORIGIN STORY. DIRECTLY FROM 5.5E MONSTER MANUAL;

THEY'RE STRAIGHT UP JUST LYING. YOU KNOW WHY? THE ACTUAL DRACONIC ANCESTORS ARE HALF DRAGONS WHO ARE ACTUALLY RELATED TO DRAGONS; AND YOU KNOW WHAT THEY HAVE? (Turn to slide 2) THEY HAVE A FUCKING TAIL. YOU DON'T JUST UNEVOLVE AN ENTIRE FUCKING LIMB BUT KEEP EVERY OTHER TRAIT OF THE SPECIES. Even if we're to say they're related to Wyverns (Which have 4 limbs and a tail still) THEY DONT HAVE A FUCKING TAIL TO PROVE IT.
"Oh but the dragonborn have breath weapons which align with their color which parallels the elemental colors of dragons, that means they have to be related" NO IT FUCKING DOESNT. THIS DOES NOT MATTER. YOU KNOW WHICH OTHER SPECIES HAVE BREATH WEAPONS? Ahem.
-Every single Mephit (Aligns with their elemental type, almost like that's a pattern.), Hellhounds, Winter Wolf, Chimera (Granted they gave it a dragonhead so fine. This one is a dragon technically.), THE FUCKING YETI, The Behir (WHICH HAS EIGHT LIMBS, BTW.), Iron Golems, Dragon Turtle ("Oh but it has Dragon in the name" SO DO FUCKING DRAGONBORN)
Worst of all Dragonborn are so far disconnected that Aarakocra are more closely related to Dragons than they are because despite not having a tail they still have six limbs. Dragonborn are not dragons to such a degree they literally have a subspecies that makes them ACTUALLY related to dragons.
"Oh but dragons are magical creatures they didn't evolve they just magic'd the dragonborn into existence!" Then maybe they should've magic'd up some blood relations instead of making Dragonborn completely unrelated.
And news flash we already had a reptilian race they're called Lizardfolk.
