Inland Activation - My Timeline
Hi all, I just wanted to share my timeline for inland activation of my second IEC permit (3rd year)
Webform 21st June
Approval Message 22nd June
“Your Document is Valid” in GC Account with new permit number - 23rd June. All correct dates.
I have to say I am a little taken aback at how quickly this moved! Obviously still waiting for the physical copy in the mail but having read about the delays I got in ~ 1 month before I was set to expire on my first permit to be safe.
I know there is huge disparity in how these are processed but just wanted to share at least one example of very rapid processing and activation. Important to consider too that you do lose time if you go too early so flying out and back in still preferable if you want to full maximise your time and have control of your activation date.
