4th of July recipe ideas?

My aunt invited me to her house for 4th of July this weekend, and I'm not sure what dessert or appetizer to bring. Normally, I end up bringing something that isn't necessarily blood sugar friendly like some sort of premade Costco cake or pie, but we do have a few diabetics in our family, and I know it would probably be better of me to bring something we all can enjoy without a huge glycemic spike.

Does anyone have a go-to summer BBQ recipe, whether it's a side or a dessert? It's going to be about an hour drive to get up there, so nothing popsicle or made with ice cream.

First FB Marketplace experience... alone! 🫨

Picked up this cute credenza/side table from FB Marketplace earlier today without any help from anyone! I was really worried about not just meeting up with a stranger but loading and unloading a piece of furniture without anyone to help me lift.

Fortunately, the seller was perfectly nice, and while the table is some pretty heavy solid wood, I was able to bring it in and decorate without issues.

For someone who always needs to bother friends and family to come help me with furniture transport or assembly things, today was a win for single lady life.
