Sharing Indian passport renewal timeline. If you had a similar experience please share how you managed to resolve this situation.

Normal application
No changes in passport
Previous passport issued in UK

Day 1: Submitted application at VFS centre
Day 1 Portal status: Passport application along with fee details have been received. The same is under processing at the Embassy
Day 20 Portal status: Application is under process at Indian Embassy/Consulate
Day 24 Portal status: Police Verification Report (PVR) awaited
Day 34 Portal status: Application is under process at Indian Embassy/Consulate
Day 43 Portal status: Passport has been printed, post quality check will be dispatched in the coming weeks
Day 50: Still waiting for further update

Anyone here came across the below when getting passport renewed. Does this mean passport will be issued only after PV? or has anyone had different experience and their passport was printed and dispatched before PV? Thanks

Are there any cases who applied for regular Indian passport renewal from abroad (not tatkal), the PV was initiated but the PV did not happen or happened after the received the passport?

Had an appointment at VFS UK for passport renewal a few weeks ago. They did not take my fingerprints/biometrics. Just want to find if it is alright? Thanks

I am applying to get my Indian passport renewed.

The Passport Portal says to upload first two and last two pages of passport [The first two pages would mean the inner cover page with round seal and officer signature + blank page next to it and next page with photo DOB + black page next to it. The last two pages would mean page with address + blank page next to it, and last two black pages].

While the VFS says first and last page. It is so confusing.

If you applied recently, please help in understanding this.

The documents like passport, address proof etc that need to be uploaded on the portal, do we sign the documents scan them and then upload the documents? or can we upload these documents without signature and take the signed versions when going to VFS centre?
