Treating blood sugar lows

I use a finger stick to test my blood sugar twice a day (fasting and just before bed). My meter tends to run rather low, from what I've experienced - my results from the days where I have done lab work tend to be about 15-20 points below the lab results.

Normally, my blood sugar is in a good range and I don't worry overly much about it running low. But there have been a few days in the past couple of weeks where I test at night and my blood sugar has been in the mid-60s. I've treated that like a low and ate something with sugar, retested, had something with protein, fiber, fat, and low GI carbs, etc.

But if I know my meter tends to run low, and I feel okay, is better to ignore those lows or should I treat them regardless of how I feel?

(I don't take insulin, just on Mounjaro and metformin. The lows happened on days when I was highly active and didn't refuel properly after the activities.)

Portable lunches

I am going to be at the beach for a few days, and I'm looking for lunch things that are easy to carry with me, will hold up through the morning, and not too carb heavy. My original plan was to make lettuce wraps with cold cuts because those will hold up decently, but with the current outbreak of bacteria in the US, I'm not sure that's a great idea.

We'll have a small cooler, but for one of the beaches, there's a mile long hike so I don't want to bring a lot of ice or anything. I'll also be very active - a lot of swimming and walking - so I can probably eat slightly more carbs, but I'm trying to avoid sandwiches, if at all possible.

Nearly 2 miles!

I haven't been able to do a 2 mile walk in about 2-3 months. I messed up my knee with suddenly upping my walking - I went from ~4k steps daily to 10k for a month and my left knee decided to give up, so walking in late March was a huge pain.

I've been doing PT and really focusing on taking it slow and walking as much as I can without pain, so I usually do 3 shorter walks a day, and I'm averaging about 6,500/day right now.

On Sunday, I woke up and decided to try to push a little - I was able to successfully do this walk, with no knee pain, and no pain for the rest of the day, which is a little miracle right now. It felt really good to be able to walk that long.
