I’ve had 5 “break ups” today on Hinge because I don’t want kids

How do you ladies find partners that you align with? Even those who say they’re “open to kids” actually 100% want them. I didn’t make this decision lightly and I’m honestly okay with the idea that I might have to be alone for the rest of my life but it saddens me if I’m being honest.

Having kids would wreck my health further. Plus, I can’t have kids if I can’t give them even a fraction of the things that my parents provided me with.

Most of all, I can’t have kids because if things go sideways with a man, I need to know that I can confidently take care of them. Hell, I’m still getting out of the bondage of being a first daughter in an African household and catering to everyone.

When will I catch a break?

I love kids but even their screams make me want to hit my head against the wall. So, why do I feel so guilty? Why does it make me sad that almost every man on the apps says they want kids even when they haven’t said it on their profile?

Btw, is this a new tactic? Why lie or be coy about it? Do they know that many women these days don’t want kids and they’re maybe hoping to trap some of us or something?

You know what? I’m clearly spiralling. 🌀

I’m becoming more convinced that rice (especially some varieties) is not meant for human consumption

Am I the only one who has a flare up after eating long grain white rice or brown rice? I can eat lots of bulgur wheat and my DDD or Fibro won’t flare up but the day I eat rice, the exhaustion, pain and puffiness that I feel within a few hours is ridiculous. Such a highly inflammatory food. I’ll go back to eating it once a month or so because it’s meant for birds and livestock. Tf?!
