RCPD & Health Anxiety

I've suffered with RCPD for as long as I can remember with the usual symptoms of loud gurgling causing embarassing social situations. I also remember having a fear of vomiting from early childhood which I know is linked to RCPD.

Aside from this I have also suffered with crippling health anxiety where I have convinced myself numerous times that I am ill or dying, and its only just occured to me recently that it could be the symptoms from RCPD making my anxiety worse.

I am 36 now, and remember not being able to burp from around age 8, so its not a new thing for me, but what is new to me, is more recently (last 6 months - 1 year) I have been experiencing shortness of breath, or 'air hunger,' lump in throat feeling, and the worst is palpitations. I genuinely think that sometimes I am so full of air that I experience shortness of breath and palpitations as it feels like air is pushing on my diaphram, but of course anxiety makes me think its something more sinister.

For example, I live in a 3 storey house and sometimes when I get to the top from walking 2 flights of stairs, I am so out of breath, but I think its to do with all of the air. Another example is, last night I got into bed and lay on my right side, my heart was going crazy, and I felt like I was having palpitations, I panicked and turned onto my left side, and suddenly was gurgling like crazy and it went away! It seems I was just so full of air. Today I was in the super market after just having a coffee, I bent down to get something and  could feel the air inside me and I had heart palpitations again, I stood normal again and it went, again I think as I bent down the air was pushing.

I find it hard to believe that a condition thats classed as a 'joke' or 'funny' causes all these horrible symptoms that cause me not only to be physically uncomfortable, but also anxious.

Has anyone else experienced shortness of breath or palpitations with RCPD?
