Hi there! I will be running the Valencia half at the end of this month, and I’m struggling to find information on how the cut-offs work. Usually I would be absolutely fine within the time limit, but I’m currently pregnant and depending on how I feel I might have to run/walk. How strict is the 2h45 cut-off? I looked at last year’s results and saw some people with finish times of 3+ hours but then others with similar times saying “out of time”, so how does that work?

Hoping for some advice and a sense check. We’re moving to a new part of the country this Summer and our little one will turn 4 about 2 weeks after starting in a new nursery. Birthday falls on a Monday so was planning to do a little party the Saturday after.

My thinking was to basically send off invites to all the kids his age as he starts, so 3 weeks before the party. We won’t know anyone local so I’m hoping this could be a way to meet some of the other families.

My worries/questions:

- is 3 weeks long enough notice?
- will it be weird to send invites so soon after starting? For his previous ones I just asked the staff to distribute invites to the kids he played with most but that obviously won’t be possible this time.

I’m mostly worried about my little boy turning up to an empty village hall, so mostly looking for reassurance and/or tips on how to handle this awkward timing.
