obscure dorm questions

1- are the dorms notably one temperature (super hot at night or super cold), or just average/dependant on weather? i wanna know if i should bring more pj pants or shorts (i always get hot at night) im dorming in anderson if that changes anything as well!

2- is there a mirror on the back of the closet doors in anderson? there is one screwed onto the back of the door in the virtual tour (not over the hook), which makes it seem like there is one, but it’s not listed in the things that come with the room.

3- can you place your bed against the ac units? my roommate and i are both not lofting beds, so we were thinking of just putting a bed in front of the ac thing but weren’t sure if that’s allowed or blocks the flow of air (even if my blankets don’t cover it)

if you have any answers i’d love to hear them, thanks!

move in day questions/tips

just have a few questions:

1- should i bring my own cart to move things from car to room in? i know there are some provided, but do they run out quickly? my move in is at 9am so im just not sure how big of an issue it’ll be, i dont want to go out of my way to buy a cart if i dont have to

2- do they really have a move in team bring every single persons stuff to their rooms? or is it quicker if i do it myself (if they allow that)?

3- is it better to move in on one of the earlier days? if so, is it still worth it if i have to take an afternoon slot? i have the last day of move in (again, at 9am), but not sure if i should request an earlier day since i have such an early slot on my given move in time.

id appreciate if anyone could help me with these or has other move in day tips, thanks!

incoming freshman

is it suitable for a freshman to take a 300s course if it’s available? i really want to take MGMT-300 but my counselor said he doesn’t recommend those for freshman, but i wanted to get a students perspective. i’m a hard worker and when im actually interested in the topic im learning about, such as this, I do really well. (for reference i took 9 aps and have done a music business internship already.) i don’t want to overwhelm myself though. lmk and thanks!

registering

a lot of the classes i want to sign up for have waitlists all day except for pm slots, but i am definitely not a pm school kind of girl. should i just register for them anyways to be guaranteed my spot or take the gamble with a waitlisted class that’s in the morning? kinda stressing about this, any advice (for this post or registering in general) would be greatly appreciated!
