So as the title suggests, I was doing a rehearsal today at the studio for my showcase routine which is in 3 days and heard my hamstring pop when doing a split. I wasn’t even going for a full split but a fake one but with so much adrenaline, ended up doing it too fast. Heard the pop loud enough to know that I had fucked up. I have booked an appointment tomorrow with GP to get a referral for MRI but I believe it will take days to get the results back.
I can definitely feel pain in that leg specially while sitting. I can feel the muscle popping if I try to stretch. I am not sure now if I should still go ahead with the showcase. This was going to be my first solo ever since I started pole. I am very stressed out about it now and don’y know what I should do.
So I am here asking for advice from anyone who has been through something similar. What is my best option here?
Should I just forget the showcase and focus on recovery?
