Ad free feeds

I was a little behind on this week's show, but are there seriously podcasts that claim an ad-free feed while still playing ads? If I subscribed to a podcast that did that, I would stop paying and stop listening entirely.

But then I thought, maybe some of them were just like the TGG P1's or something. Is there a prominent case of this fake ad-free feed that I've never heard about. It just seems crazy that someone would promote an ad-free feed and then put ads in it!

#1100 Audio

I know the audio for live shows can be difficult, but this one was really something. Many points throughout the show were basically NYC subway announcement quality.

Zebra mussels

I did a quick search to see if there is any info about this on r/greenbay, but didn't see any relevant posts. My family has lived on the Green Bay for a long time. When I was young, in the 80s, there were no zebra mussels and we what I would call a rocky beach, with some sand. Great for skipping stones. By the mid 90s, there wasn't an inch of visible beach and the entire thing was covered by 2-3 ft of zebra mussel shells. Over the last 10 years, the zebra mussel shells have gradually receded. Today, crushed zebra mussel shells are part of the landscape, but the rocks and sand aren't completely covered at all. The amount of zebra mussel shells is probably less than 1/2 inch. My question is: Is this a broad phenomenon in the Green Bay, or even Lake Michigan as a whole? Is it a local phenomenon where my parents house has less, but other places have more? I'm curious if anyone has any good information on the topic.

I'm also interested if anyone has any information about the freshwater pelicans. Google points to a lot of sites about the pelicans, which I have read and enjoyed, but I'm always interested in reading more because I love those damn pelicans!
