My dadi never really had a phone until last year, when all of us grandkids slowly moved away for studies and jobs. We first got her a keypad phone, then eventually a smartphone. Made her a Google account, set up YouTube.. The kind of stuff she generally watches are spiritual discourses, bhajans, and those simple old-school comedy clips she’d watch on TV or on someone else’s phone.

Today I took her phone to set up WhatsApp, and she just very quietly said she doesn’t like using it anymore. And she said very innocently ki "ismein gandi cheezein aa jaati hain"
Turns out YouTube Shorts had started pushing random garbage onto her feed somehow.

And honestly, it's disturbing

Here’s someone who barely even knows how to use a smartphone, whose searches are literally things like Premanand Ji Maharaj, bhajans, and one educational video I searched on her phone.. and somehow the algorithm still finds a way to dump absolute bullshit onto her screen.

I subscribed her to more channels that fit her usual interests, but the whole thing genuinely feels unsettling. If even an elderly person with such a harmless viewing history isn’t protected from this kind of content spiral, it’s scary to think how exposed younger kids are growing up online now.

Hi, so now that NEET is over and I'm expecting to get selected in good enough colleges.. There are certain colleges that I'm pursuing and one of them (AFMC) goes on with selection after an interview (two actually but wtv) and medical tests.. I need to up my profile with some impressive extra curricular certificates, one of them is going to be my volunteer work in an organization which helped menstruating women through informative workshops and free pad distribution.. Should I go on with some online internships at some NGO?? Is there anything else I can do?? My dumb ass should've participated in MUNs when I had the time.. As for sports, I don't have any impressive certificates (Aint no way Im showing them participation certificates from my fuckass school).. Help me out guys please

since us has blocked the strait of hormuz which is gonna make worldwide disruption and which could maybe put india in it too like india also would have to meddle in this....so do you think neet could get postpone?

Okay this is going to be long.. Last year around november, my parents found my diary in which I had written totally insignificant stupid stuff (Every detail of my life) and they read about my ex and also I'd said shit about them and my brother.. They confronted me, more accurately yelled at me because they thought some some of tragedy had occurred, and I thought they were over it.. But later I found out they're confusing a guy from my class (who my mom found out about through my cousin) as my ex because they have similar names. We never talked about it again but since they had almost permanently grounded me, I was talking to my friends on gmail (sneakily) and I did the dumbest thing I could possibly do, I opened my gmail on my mom's phone and took a screenshot of one of the mails because it was funny and I had to post it on my instagram story (Because I have a laptop and can't post in there and also because I'm dumb like that)
And somewhere in that mail, my friend had mentioned that her mom will probably be worried about her sexuality if she sees her mailing me like a wife whose husband is in a war or smth like that.. And my mom saw that, got confused and asked me what is that in her gallery (I later deleted it) but she probably thinks I'm lesbian and has a problem with male + female friends

BTW I also came to know that my dad had clicked pictures of that diary and that's genuinely the sickest part because who does that.
Then some time around new year, I got this idea from reddit and sort of created a code for the alphabets and started writing in another diary (idk why).. However I occasionally put dates in there (from 2025) so I can gaslight my parents in case they find it, which did happen btw.. Now it lies exactly where my mom put it after going through it and assuming I'm some psycho writing in some absurd language, and it's actually the most important piece of stationary I own cuz corny reasons and I don't want it snatched away, so I can't even put it anywhere else either.. They act very normal and have never mentioned it again but idk man this just makes me a lil anxious sometimes

It's probably been two weeks (more) since I joined this sub and although it makes no sense now, allow me to introduce myself.
I'm 16 and wrote my 12th boards this year (which says nothing about me but wtv).. I majorly scroll reddit with the purpose of coming across interesting as well as dumb discussions.. I'll also have to admit that my flair is kinda misleading cuz I'm a NEET aspirant so I naturally don't have a life.
