Temporary enclosure for baby Hog

Temporary enclosure for baby Hog

Hey wanted some advice on this temp hognose enclosure for my new baby hog coming in soon. I need to still go get a hide for the heat side but wanted to see if yall think the heating will be adequate. I keep the apt around 70-74 degrees. Heat lamp is 5.5” deep dome with a 50 watt golden basking bulb. First time owner, long time appreciator. Getting more thermometers coming in today, the one on the tank isn’t accurate.

He will only be in this temporary 5.5 gallon for no more than a month or two while I set up his bioactive enclosure in his larger tank

Humidity Spikes

Starting off I’m new to Leachi’s and reptiles with humidity reqs.

I mist nightly but sometimes I have to mist again in the morning finding that the humidity has dropped below 60 to around 57 (I know so drastic🙄). That being said when I mist sometimes it goes up to 96. I know their humidity reqs are 60-80 but is it alright to have it jump up to 96 during the nightly mist. When I try to avoid it I’m having to mist again in the morning. How strict is that humidity range? My thought process is they have those fluctuations in the wild and should be fine

Don’t rip on me too hard. Leachie is still a baby in a 6qt shoe box enclosure
