Red factor babies?

Hello/ My yellow female canary and red factor male had 3 babies. They are around 2.5 months old. One is bright yellow and the other two are a lovely lemon colour. I’ve just noticed orange areas on them. At first I thought it was red capsicum mess they made! But on closer inspection it’s red feathers. Has anyone experienced this? My son accidentally fed them red factor seed while I was on holiday/ they eat a fair amount of broccoli 🥦 that I know also contains a pigment. Anyone experienced this? Tia 😃

Canaries breeding in winter

Hello, I have a male and female canary. I am in Australia and winter has just started. My birds are covered from around 730 pm till 0630.
I noticed breeding behaviour so put in a nest and nesting material. Pippi built a beautiful nest and now it has 2 eggs in it. She laid an egg on Wednesday and another today - Friday. She is not constantly sitting on the eggs - i’ve read this is normal? and that they don’t sit on the eggs full time until they are all laid.
I don’t know if the eggs will be viable and tbh i’m not really wanting to breed canaries. What I don’t want is for her to get sick and exhausted making eggs! Do I leave the eggs and see what happens? Do I remove the nest? I don’t want to seperate them- they are great mates. But I assume they will keep breeding if left together. Tia
