I recently transferred from Mt. SAC to USC and along with other UCs. During my transfer process I spent a ton of time learning about TAG, TAP, IGETC, major prep, transfer applications, financial aid, and transfer essays. I learned so much where I felt like I didn’t want it to go to waste.

Got accepted usc around 3pm

Context: One year transfer Econ major
3.81 for fall, 3.85 winter, then 4.0 spring
Extracurricular: accounting intern, amazon store associate, some high school activity carried into college
Essay: i would say a really good essay, had a lot of usc friends who helped me by mentioning something inside usc

Something that stood out for me was around winter quarter would end, a senior assistant director from usc personally reached out to me about my winter grade thru her own usc email. not the normal usc template but a handwritten email. I think this helped a lot, when i uploaded the spring grade i emailed her again about it and she confirmed they received my transcript.

For all u that want to do one yr transfer, pls ask me questions i would more than happy to help everyone. I was stuck and stuck when i found out i got rejected from all colleges and have to choose this one yr route. i been there once so happy to help.
