Hi everyone! I noticed on the portal it shows disbursement was on 6/12 but I haven’t seen anything yet. Is anyone else experiencing this?

does mt sac even enforce parking? i’ve been paying for day passes and my classmate says she never pays and nothing happens?? I park by the math & science building. i’m only taking a class in the morning 3x a week for summer so i don’t really wanna buy a parking pass or anything should i just not pay?
Can someone explain why I havent received my money
hi everyone! i need some recommendations on some cool study spots that have charging outlets and free parking, preferably anywhere in the vicinity of the 57 freeway. I know its quite a bit of a stretch but if you can help i’d really appreciate it!
I'm trying to register for this counseling class and I keep getting this message and I have no idea what it means.
Thanks, and sorry if I'm being ignorant
When are we receiving the money I need it to pay for my book and how much do we get ?
I was enrolled for a summer semester course and didn’t like the teacher so I chose to withdraw today. Would I still be receiving a refund?
Hi! I'm entering my 2nd year and I'm now hit with the realization.
"wow, I didn't really do all that much on my first year"
I mean sure the goal is to min max credits and transfer asap but I kinda want to get involved on campus, like does anyone have any recs? My most open schedule is around tues and thurs from 3 pm to 6 pm if it makes things better..?
Does Mt. SAC still mail out parking permit stickers (the ones you stick/cling onto the windshield) or do they not do that anymore? TIA
Hello!!! I am entering Mt. SAC in quite a unique scenario and want to make sure I am making the right choices. I’d love to get some questions answered from a student’s perspective:
A little bit about me: My name is Samantha, but a lot of people call me Sam! I love reading (mostly classics and memoirs), hiking, cats (I have 3), and going to concerts. I want to become an environmental lawyer, and I play guitar, ukulele, and harmonica, even though I suck.
If anyone wants to be friends, share tips, or anything I should know, please feel free to message me!
Hey everyone, I'm going to risk sounding like a nerd and try to explain everything I know about financial aid. Since a handful of questions on this sub are about FAFSA, and with the major semester coming up, I hope this clears any concerns about how the disbursements work. I would use this as a TL:DR to the entire process since it can be a little complicated but of course if you still can't find what your looking for, the Financial Aid Office will always be helpful.
M-Th, 8am - 7pm; Fri 8am - 4:30pm
(closed Fri during Summer Term)
Building 9B, 2nd Floor
909-274-4450
The three important sites I use to know when and how much I'm getting are:
How Financial Aid Gets To You - Freeze Dates, Official Disbursement Dates, Credit Requirements for MAX payout
https://www.mtsac.edu/financialaid/resources/policies/how_financial_aid_gets_to_you.html
Official FAFSA Site - Signing in displays FULL disbursement amount expected/paid
Mt. SAC Financial Aid Portal - Shows if FAFSA was received/processed, disbursements amount per term expected/paid (Payment Schedule).
https://prodrg.mtsac.edu/StudentSelfService/ssb/financialAid#!/dashboard/home
Using the Financial Aid Portal, select your Aid Year in the top right, confirm your FAFSA Application is "Received", clicking on Offer and finally "View your payment schedule."
This tab shows how much of your disbursement will be given on specific dates. Note that these dates are when they are "sent." The exact date when it hits your account is exactly 7 days after. (Ex. Expected Date: 10/16/20XX -> Paid on: 10/23/20XX)
As far as everything being in order, that's all you need to know.
General FAQ'S:
The "Expected By" date has passed, where's my refund:
It takes 7 days for the money to hit the account you've selected in your BankMobile Account. For the upcoming payment for example, it will be "sent" July 2nd, but not hit your account until July 9th (Maybe later since July 4th is a federal holiday)
Do we get Winter and Summer refunds?
We do not get Winter refunds, we do get Summer refunds.
When does the next years payment schedule show up?
When we are nearing the start of the Fall term, so around August-September.
In the event your SAP reads "Suspended", you have two options:
SAP Appeals require 4 required items:
As far as I know, during the Fall/Spring terms, you may submit all of these items electronically through a form, though I am having extreme trouble finding it myself at the moment. I may update this post when it becomes available. During this time, SAP Appeals may only be submitted IN-PERSON, and the unofficial document tip is likely unacceptable.
SAP Appeals are reviewed by "waves." The dates can be found here
The response time varies depending on when you submitted, for example:
Student to Submit Appeal by: February 6, 2026
Committee to Review by: February 17, 2026
You Submitted On: February 4th
Your appeal will make the deadline for February 6th, but will not be reviewed until February 17th. After the review date, it takes the committee to take 7-14 days to give a response. So around February 24th, you'd get an email and a message on your Financial Aid Portal with the following (best case scenario):
I made another post that has other accounts of people's SAP appeal process, which could be helpful:
https://www.reddit.com/r/MtSAC/comments/1n7rp2l/sap_appeal/
Missed Payments:
Any refunds you missed will be rewarded if your appeal is approved within the same term, which may cause your payment schedule to look a little funky.
This is all I know about how FAFSA works at Mt. Sac, a slightly complicated mess but at the end of the day the school is working with money.
If there is anything simple I missed or make something more clear, feel free to let me know and I'll try to add on to this post/respond!
Hey everyone! I’m in Walnut, CA for about a month while working remotely as an intern.
I was wondering if I can use the library during the summer, or if it’s only open to Mt. SAC students. Also, do they have monitors that visitors can connect their laptops to?
Is there anything else I should know before coming, or any tips you’d recommend? Thanks!
Has anyone gotten the financial aid offer for fall 26-27 yet?? I wanna plan for payment but mine still shows no offers for 2026-2027 academic year
Idk which one of these I need for an SAP appeal, I had to withdraw from my classes due to health issues and ready this summer but am not sure what link I need to to complete. I clicked on the CCPG one but a friendly student said that their appeal in the past this resemble this one? Im so lost please help lmao.
Has anyone encountered issues with this?
I have an async class coming up in the fall but I’m thinking about going on trip for a little bit. I’m curious if this is doable or not.
Hey guys I'm a rising freshman for the fall semester and I'm a bit concerned about classes filling up.
Granted, I could just extremely paranoid but I applied about a month ago, didn't receive my ID and portal info after the two weeks, I called and they said there's an error with my app (didn't tell me what) and they said that it was gonna be at least another week before they figure it out.
If I'm not mistaken registration for fall 2026 started in May and it's almost July so I'm wondering if classes are already filling.
I'm a AA-T in political science, and will apply for the honors program, if any of that info helps.
I appreciate any and all information!
Hey everyone!
I recently transferred from Mt. SAC to USC and along with other UCs. During my transfer process I spent a ton of time learning about TAG, TAP, IGETC, major prep, transfer applications, financial aid, and transfer essays. I learned so much where I felt like I didn’t want it to go to waste.
If you’re planning to transfer to a UC, USC, or another 4 year university and have questions, feel free to DM me. I’m happy to share what worked for me and help point you in the right direction.
I already took astronomy but not the lab is there a biological science class that is easy and preferably also has an easy lab please lmk your experiences
What professors do you guys recommend that are async, easy, and that just give you the work to finish on your own?? Thanks
Anyone know what book/software Grace Peng uses for MATH 140? I'm taking MATH 130 rn and take her class online next semester, want to know if its worth getting extended access to current class software.
