First time throwing discus in 3 months, definitely extreme rough. Should I do the same thing as I did with shotput and go back to step 1 and perfect stand throws first? Because my release and lack of seperation I feel is my biggest issues by a wide margin.

Things are starting to make a little more sense I feel a little more confident in my stance but still struggling with my release

Thanks to you guys on reddit I’ve actually been throwing with intent for these past few weeks, figuring out what is wrong right after I throw has started to become way more clear to me, and it might not look like much but I definitely do feel myself getting way better and distance becoming a little farther, it will be a slow process, but I know I can do it

I took your guys advice and starting over at step 1 with just trying to perfect standing throws first. What are some takeaways? please critique me

My release definitely still feels very iffy
