Tender Ribs Pain after Weight Loss??
I recently lost a significant amount of weight over 40kg in 5 months, and I'm experiencing pain in my lower ribs. It only happens when I touch the area or sleep on one side.
Many people have said that this frequently happens because you have less body fat and muscle padding to cushion your chest wall. This reduction in natural soft tissue can make the bones and cartilage of your rib cage feel more prominent, sensitive, or bruised when lying down, wearing tight clothes, or pressing against surfaces.
Is this very common, or am I experiencing something unusual?
