What lures to throw for coho

I’m gonna try to take a shot at saltwater fishing, I was thinking of going somewhere in North/west van for coho. I was just wondering what’s best to throw, I’m using a 7 foot medium rod with 15 lb braid as my mainline.
I’m also a bit confused on the fishing regulations as it states that single non treble barbless hooks are required but in this subreddit I often see people talking about throwing blue foxes or spoons

Spring loaded pliers

Getting my dad a rebar for Father’s Day he works a lot with electrical wire so the tools on the rebar seemed right, I was just wondering how practical the pliers are on it without them being spring loaded.

Looking for a second rod

I have a 6’6 ugly stik gx2 light right now that I use for trout, I’m looking to get a second rod for bass, walleye and pike. I was thinking about a baitcaster but I’m not sure if it’s even necessary. I live in the PNW and fish off of a shore mainly.

Thanks in advance.

Getting my second rod

I have a 6’6 light ugly stik gx2 right now that I mostly use for trout fishing and I’m not sure whether to get a medium or medium-heavy bait caster. I live in the PNW and plan to use it for mainly bass and eventually northern pike and walleye. Not sure if this matters but I mostly fish off of a shore or dock.
Thanks.
