New vs old

Hey guys, I’ve been thinking about changing my bike.

I currently have a 2024 Topstone Carbon 3 with around 1,000 km on it. I really like it: it’s comfortable, playful, and has been great for bikepacking. But I’d love something a bit faster on the road, with more tyre clearance, internal storage and cleaner cable routing.

I’m looking at the new Topstone, but I’m not sure the upgrade would be big enough to justify selling a bike I genuinely love. For those who have ridden both generations: is there a major difference in ride quality or performance, or would you keep the old one and upgrade it over time instead?

Thanks!

Integrated cockpit & AliExpress upgrades on a 2024 Topstone Carbon? (Plus some YT Capra parts)

Hi everyone,

I’m planning a few upgrades on my yellow 2024 Cannondale Topstone Carbon and wanted to get some advice from the community.

Mainly, I’m wondering if anyone here has managed to install a fully integrated handlebar/stem setup on this specific Topstone frame? I’m also looking at getting carbon wheels, a crankset with a power meter, and matching frame/computer mounts—most likely from AliExpress to keep the budget reasonable.

On top of that, I’m grabbing a few basic contact points for my YT Capra Uncaged 12 (pedals, grips, and a saddle).

Has anyone experimented with these kinds of AliExpress components on gravel or heavy enduro? Are there specific brands you trust for safety and quality, or any you think I should stay away from?

Thanks a lot for your help!
