Computer and TV use

At this point I don’t seem to get many symptoms from watching tv or say watching my friends play video games but programming or playing a game myself still seems to trigger pretty serious symptoms.

Has anyone made any progress here or does anyone understand what drives the difference. I seem to get some pain and stiffness in the back base of my neck when this happens sometimes so it may be related

Neck related confusion

Anything that seems to put strain on my neck like wearing a heavy helmet or running or going over a bumpy road seems to cause me some temporary cognitive problems. Anyone got past this?

Sleeping with a bad neck

Ever since my injury I will wake up with burning eyes if my neck isn’t properly supported or if it’s too elevated. no one seems to be able to figure out exactly why but it seems to help to sleep on my side, but I end up tossing and turning a lot in my sleep and if I land on my back it can end up pretty bad. Does anyone have advice for any good pillows or sleep strategies ideally that can support the neck and reduce snoring.

Also if anyone has the same problem with their eyes in the morning let me know. I also get it a little bit from looking down at my phone for a very long time

Tips for better sleep

I have had terrible awful sleep quality my whole life and it makes PCs issues worse. I tend to sort of wake up in the middle of the night multiple times a night and mumble gibberish at my roommates than go back to bed. I don’t know if anyone has any advice for fixing that. Falling asleep before 9pm and staying sleep past 6 am are also sort of impossible

Flying

I’ve been constantly flying over the last few days and whenever I fly I feel pretty impaired. It becomes very difficult to think and I feel super disoriented. My eyes also burn. It feels similar to the low pressure symptoms I get before a storm.

What exactly is going on when I get these symptoms and how problematic is it? I’ve been flying constantly and haven’t really been able to sleep.

Difficulty with people

I’m graduating college today and someone throwing their hat sort of beamed it at my head. I went from being in a good mood to being completely unable to sort of hold my own in a conversation. I’m supposed to be celebrating with my family today but I feel like it’s impossible to explain I’m not just being terse. Everyone is sort of treating me like an alien because I’m not excited but I just feel like all my energy is gone. My thinking is just too slow.

Just under two weeks ago someone bumped into my cart while go carting I didn’t hit my head but I’ve felt just like I’m concussed since then and have only just started to recover now and I feel awful again even though it was just a graduation cap that landed on my head.

(For context it was a no bump course they gave me a car with a flat tire and I had to slow down to deal with that and someone hit me)

I’m very tired of managing other people’s expectations and I can’t make people understand and I really don’t know how. I don’t want to be around anyone because I never know how to act or how well I’ll be able to contribute and I don’t think anyone else can really understand. It’s really making me just not want to see people because I’m always sort of letting down expectations and there’s nothing I can do to prevent it.

I’ve begun to suspect a lot of my ongoing symptoms come from my body over reacting to similar circumstances to my injury. I seem to get serious symptoms if I almost hit my head or if I’m in a car that stalls or jumps and I jerk forward and backwards. Just yesterday my friends car jumped forward and I almost hit my head and I could feel my hair graze the headrest. For the next 30 minutes or so I felt awful and I had a disrupted sleep last night. I’ve had this experience before as well.

Does anyone have advice for preventing that sort of reaction. Stress in general as well seems to trigger something like it
