I don't think Skycotl cares about children's safety,Sky is not a safe game for children
I don't know if this is the right topic to write about, but after many years of the events, I still feel angry towards the moderators of sky.. This topic may contain disturbing content and exploitation of minors, so please don't read if it's too much for you. However, I think it raises an important topic.
In 2021, when I was 14, I met a 23-year-old man, and unfortunately, it ended badly.
At first, he was very polite to me and acted normally, but after some time he started behaving more and more strangely. He became jealous of my friends and emotionally manipulated me, saying that he would be sad if I didn’t spend time with him or if I had other friends.
This person then started playfully flirting with me, and eventually he just wrote how much he loved me and basically groomed me.He also asked about my social media, but luckily I didn't give them to him.He kept telling me that our age difference didn't matter because love was stronger. He asked me not to tell anyone about our relationship because it would be ruined and then he would hurt himself, so I was too scared to tell my parents or anyone else. Besides, unfortunately, I believed that he liked me and that he was the only person who loved me. But over time, I only felt worse when he suggested intimate topics, etc., but i was too scared to block him because he told me he's gonna kill himself
My older friend encouraged me to send screenshots of the conversation with this man to the sky moderators, because she explained to me that he was dangerous to me and others. I sent many screenshots that included his age, the fact that he knew about my age, confirmation of the romantic things he wrote to me, and other evidence...
What response did I get from sky? "We're checking his account, we'll take care of this situation." After a month, however, this man was still in the game, without a ban, without muted chat... I send mail to the moderators to ask what was going on, but I never received a response.
It's 2026, I still see this man online sometimes, I no longer write to him or have any contact with him. However, I know he had contact with other minors, and to this day, my heart aches because Sky, which promotes its game as something for children, never helped me. I also feel guilt because I know I didn't manage to do anything to help other victims of this man. I apologize if this post is too sad,I have no one to share this with, and I'm still struggling with the trauma from that time.Sorry for any mistakes, if any appear, my main language is not English
EDIT: Reading the comments in this post and others, I noticed that unfortunately I'm not the only person who has never received help from the Skycotl moderators, and some cases seem to be swept under the rug and banning victims. It's terrible, but maybe it makes us aware that we're the only ones who can help other victims. If you have younger friends, talk to them and make sure they haven't fallen victim. If you encounter such a situation, try to help and explain to the victim what's happening. Not everyone has parents who will educate them on the subject, not everyone can count on their help, and especially not everyone can always count on Skycotl's help.
