Hi all!
I have two different offers for my first job as a new grad.
One is in a med surge unit, tons of relocation incentives and will pay for my licensing. I don’t love MedSurg but everyone seems to reiterate the importance of gaining your skills
Another is an outreach mental health position M-F. I have a lot of experience in this field and know that I’ll like this job. I’m just worried about getting “pigeon holed” into mental health or not getting the chance to consolidate my skills. Wondering how easy it would be to get back into bedside if I decided after the year contract?
I’m hoping down the line to get into either NP school or pick up some travel nursing contracts as some long term goals.
Any advice or thoughts on which job to start with?
