hi there I could use help I'm very worried :(
I think I fucked up badly today. I went to a dentist to try to check out a dark spot under a filling (was concerned about secondary decay). I had requested they mask up and be in a room with doors. When I arrived (20 minutes after they opened) both doors to the room were open and a hygienist walked me into the room unmasked, chatted for a bit unmasked, and then put on her mask IN the room. She was really close to the chair the whole time :(
I thought about asking to reschedule as I was uncomfortable but I didn't. I should've. I wore a Readimask but they kept asking me questions while examining my teeth so I'm not sure how effective that was.
The whole office had recently returned from a month long vacation so even though numbers here are low, I have no way to know if anyone has been travelling.
I'm in Quebec and rush trying to plan for the worst case scenario. We don't have Xocova here and I can't imagine crossing the border to ask for it. Very difficult to find a physician worth considering prescribing metformin if I do test positive. :(
Hi, I got this tooth filled last year, and I've noticed a dark spot underneath the filling. I drink a lot of green tea and recently coffee. Is this normal? Can it wait for my next cleaning or go get it checked? Thanks
Hi there! I've had cleanings, xrays, wisdom extraction, and some fillings done over the past three years, most recently a few months ago. I am due to go back soon.
I have a hole in my baby canine tooth, the adult tooth came out next to it and I'm supposed to see an orthodontist (?) about it. I've realized I've had this hole in my tooth since at least 2024 (second photo is from yesterday) but nobody has EVER said anything or filled it. I think I can also see it on the xray, it's weird and wavy.
What is that hole?! Is it a cavity or something else entirely? Are they just ignoring it because it will eventually be extracted for braces? I have no other teeth like that at all.
Hi! This is on a baby canine tooth that never fell out, I've got the adult tooth that erupted right next to it. I have an appointment with the dentist in two weeks.
I grind my teeth a LOT. I had xrays a few months ago and a filling, nobody mentioned anything about this tooth. It's in a bad spot and grinds a lot against a tooth right below it. Is it possible I just dug a hole straight into the dentin?
Should I just ask for the baby canine to be pulled and let ortho deal with braces next year?
