Last night my boyfriend and I used the street parking in Granby. We usually park in a parking garage. Walking back to the car, around midnight, we walked past a lot of commotion. There was some kind of scuffle/fight? with at least 5 people on the street corner with lots of honking/yelling. When the cops came, two seperate people driving got into a car accident trying to leave the area. Within a few minutes the cops seemed to restraining at least one of them.

I don't want to make assumptions about what was happening or who did what, or be paranoid, because we've never walked past anything like this on our many trips downtown before. Should I feel safe this was kind of an isolated incident? I don't really think I was in danger unless a gun would have been drawn. It was just scary, and I'd prefer to avoid these kind of situations or maybe gain some knowledge about it.
