playlist

i’ve watched the show since i was a kid but i am not as big a fan as some people on this subreddit (no shade, love y’all), but i’ve been wondering if anyone on here has ever made a playlist of the songs from the episodes? it would definitely be a super long playlist, but i would love to have a piece of each episode!

help… parasites🫩

hi everyone! i just adopted my girl ginger (boxer mix) on saturday and feel like the past couple days have been insane and i would love to rant/ask for advice. she’s been having tummy issues, i.e. stinky farts and some soft/liquid poops, along with some yellow mucus coming from her nose, so we went to the vet. they sent us home with stool hardeners, antibiotics, and some immune support for allergies. they call me today and tell me that she also has giardia ! 🫩. obviously i knew what i was getting myself into with getting a dog but this feels like a lot so fast, i feel very overwhelmed. so as for the advice, what have you guys done to get rid of the giardia (besides the medicine, which i’ll be picking up and starting tomorrow), especially in the home. the vet mentioned giving her baths during treatment and my mom said to wash my bedding and such, which i will be doing both, im just unsure as to the routine/timing of when it should happen. i haven’t given her a bath yet, which i’m definitely regretting, but ive used like deodorizing wipes (def not effective enough i know). i want the best for my girl and want to make sure she never has to go through this again. i’ve been looking into steam cleaning for surfaces i can’t use bleach on (aka my couch and potentially my mattress), is this effective enough and if so does anyone have any good recommendations for inexpensive ones? or any recommendations for good cleaners/cleaning supplies to have on hand when you have a dog?
also please be nice i’m still new to owning a dog and am trying my best. TIA!
edit: other issue is that i live an in apartment so disposing or liquid poops is not very easy/very hard to do. would it be smart to wait for it to like dry and then dispose of it? i hate the thought of leaving it out there for the potential of other dogs but idk what to do

edit 2: totally off topic but what is your go-to for the car? as of right now no matter where she starts she always ends up in my lap. are car harnesses effective?

what should i know?

hi all! i’m currently looking into adopting my first dog and my mom and brother are making me feel like i’m incapable. i grew up around dogs so i understand they are a lot of time and money, but i feel like they know something i don’t lol, so i would like some advice on what i NEED to know. he is a maltese around 4yrs old who was surrendered/abandoned by his owner last month. again, i understand dogs are a lot but i want to make sure this is actually something i can do since my family are making it seem like i cannot. i live in an apartment that has a pavilion which he could run and play in as they say he is very high energy, which i could definitely tell. he has manners but very little training. seems super super sweet!

edit: after much consideration, i’m going to wait to adopt him until i have a few days off in a row in order for us to bond without me having to leave to go to work right away. i’m gonna take this time to research affordable dog walkers/places or people to take of him while i work. thank you all so much for your kind words and wonderful advice!!
