Off campus housing

Hi! I’m an incoming transfer to usc, and I just realized that on campus housing isn’t guaranteed, so I’ve been trying to find some apartments not super far from campus but I’ve never been near usc so I’m not aware of what it’s like around campus.. which areas are not a safe area to live by? What streets are the most safe

Ucla waitlist

I’ve only seen one philosophy major get off the ucla waitlist😭😭 and it was an international student. The only majors I’ve seen is poli sci, biz Econ, history, and sociology. Does that mean my major is done for?? Because now all I see is movement for pre med and engineering and no humanities majors??

I also do know that philosophy is a smaller department, but only one student from intl??? Is that just bc my major hasn’t moved yet or they’re not taking anyone off?

Ucla waitlist movement

I know the sir deadline just happened but when would we start hearing back from ucla? I haven’t seen anyone get off yet only international students? Is that a bad sign?

Ucla waitlist

I just realized that Ucla only accepted 3,900 students?!? That means the acceptance rate is 13 percent this year, what’s that going to mean for waitlisted students?? Less movement??

Also- is there anyone who’s a philosophy major that got into ucla but not accepting their spot🥹 lmk

UCLA WAITLIST

Now that our loci’s are due, what did you guys get waitlisted for? Do you guys think that there’s gonna be waitlist movement since they waitlisted so many people?

Hi everyone, I’m sure that there’s probably a lot of people in the same boat as me. I got waitlisted as a philosophy transfer with a 4.0 cc gpa, but a 3.7 cumulative gpa (I had dual enrollment grades that I had to take for hs credit) I even had some retroactive withdrawals due to family issues but I also had two part time jobs with a promotion and worked in 7 non profits and was in an honors society. I took intro to philosophy and I’m currently taking logic and have an A in the course (those are the only courses offered at my cc), I even took some rigorous courses for my major such as calc, Econ, and stats. I just wanted to see what are my chances of getting off the waitlist? I’m aware that philosophy isn’t impacted like psych or Econ, but I am also aware a lot of people got waitlisted this year.
