League favourites?
Hi chat! Looking to collect some info for an article on fan favourites in the league. If y'all don't mind sharing who your favourite players are and why, that would be much appreciated <3

I ended up speaking with NSL VP of Brand and Content Kelly Shouldice about what it actually takes to build a league from the ground up and whether, years from now, Canadians will be able to imagine their sports landscape without it.
Would love to hear your thoughts on where the league is right now and what it still needs to get there.

Now that the dust has settled with regards to Katie McCabe's move, the issue for many supporters does not appear to be the transfer itself. Players have every right to make career decisions that they believe are best for them.
What seems to have sparked a debate is the way the move has been communicated and received. A switch from Arsenal to Chelsea was always going to provoke a strong response given the rivalry and McCabe's status. Some reactions have undoubtedly crossed a line and she is entirely within her rights to block or disengage from abusive comments.
However, there is a distinction between rejecting abuse and acknowledging the emotional impact of such a significant move. For some Arsenal fans, the frustration stems from a feeling that the sensitivity of the situation has not been fully recognized.
There are a few examples across the women's game that have shown that controversial departures can still be handled in ways that preserve goodwill. Sam Chang’s move to AFC Toronto and Vivianne Miedema's departure for Manchester City were both met with disappointment by supporters, but the communication around those exits was generally viewed as respectful of the relationships built at their former clubs.
The discussion here is not necessarily about the destination. In modern football, especially on the women’s side, players move between rivals. The real conversation is often about how those moves are framed, communicated, and how departing players acknowledge the supporters who helped shape their legacy.
