Help with nightmares

I’ve had nightmares my entire life, and only recently have doctors finally started taking them seriously.
First, I was prescribed melatonin, but it didn’t help. Then I was prescribed 150 mg of Lergigan (an anti-anxiety medication) per day, but that didn’t help either.
Now I’m taking doxazosin. It’s actually a medication that’s mainly used for high blood pressure, but it has also been shown to help some people with severe nightmares. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be helping me either.
The next step is to try an antidepressant in case there’s some underlying anxiety or another issue that I might not even be aware of. I’m not convinced it will work, but I really hope it does.
My doctors have also discussed the possibility of a neurological evaluation to see if there could be a physical cause behind all of this. At this point, I honestly don’t know what to do anymore, but I really hope they can help me.
It feels like all of my friends are getting tired of hearing me talk about it, so I thought I’d post here instead and get it off my chest a little.
Has anyone else experienced something similar? Do you have any advice or suggestions? Or is there anyone who would just like to chat from time to time? I don’t want to keep burdening the people I know with this, but I also can’t keep everything bottled up inside.

I need feedback!

I’ve spent pretty much my whole life reading books and listening to audiobooks, and today I started wondering if maybe I should try writing one myself. Do you have any tips or advice for a beginner? I’m thinking of writing a fantasy/romance/young adult novel.
My book idea:
A 19-year-old girl named Nora inherits a small cottage from her grandfather, her last living relative, after he passes away. She’s not used to country life, but she made him a promise on his deathbed that she would do her best to make it work. When she arrives, she quickly realizes that living in the countryside is much harder and requires far more work than she ever imagined.
She meets her nearest neighbor, a 24-year-old man (still no name yet). At first, he comes across as arrogant, cocky, and self-centered, as if the world revolves around him. He acts like every woman automatically wants him. However, it’s all a facade that he has built over many years.
He was abandoned as a child and had to learn how to survive on his own in the wilderness. During that time, he came across a young dragon that had gone through something similar. They grew up together, and ever since, he has protected the dragon and kept that hidden part of the world a secret.
That’s the basic idea and the main characters. What do you think? Is this something you would read, or is there anything you would change? I’d really appreciate any feedback or advice you can give!

Skriva bok?
