Where is the best place to get a haircut than isn't purely with clippers for an 8 and 11 year old boy. We've tried a few places and either the atmosphere is off or the cuts end up looking hacky and weird a week or so later

Usually I can battle it with hard candies and flavorful drinks here and there but the last few rounds have given me the gross taste 24/7 with it creeping into the back of my throat and into my mucus as well. It's the only thing that makes me feel like puking currently. Any tricks would be very much appreciated.
