Why would my boyfriend’s family member say racist/colorist things to me, then his family members go date people who look like me?

I had a friend that I met a while ago . I never missed any of her birthdays, always showed up for her, even until this point now. It didn’t matter how far the drive was. I always tried to make it . Even when I wasn’t working at the time, I got her a gift . When I couldn’t make it to one of her birthdays, I went over to her house, gave her a really expensive, nice gift, and sang happy birthday to her. I made time in my busy schedule . But when it came to me, she never came to any of my birthdays. She always said she cannot come or anything I’d be doing, even for school events I would create no presence, never showed up, or supported me. She said she would get me something or show up a week after to make up for not coming to my birthday. She canceled and said she was doing something for her boyfriend, but I had to follow up with her after waiting for her the whole day. Then , she planned something three more times just for her to cancel to the point I said, “Don’t worry about rescheduling. Have a great day.” I also stated to her my birthday was months ago and that I felt like there is a lack of consideration in our friendship and that she doesn’t show up for me, which turned into an argument. I told her how I felt about this before, but it still ended up as a bad argument in which she told me if she has free days, that will always go to her boyfriend, which I don’t mind that is her boyfriend, but to never show up for your friend once in a year I didn’t know how to feel.
