Still having nesting issues

Husqvarna Viking ruby deluxe. Going through the hatch shading course. At first, I thought it was an auto cutter problem so I turned it off and now I’m manually trimming all cuts, which is annoying but it would have less nesting . Sometimes things embroidered out fine, I’ve messed with the tension quite a bit and still can’t get it perfect.

Seems like it’s a problem with the first few stitches of each object. I’ve also tried pulling the bobbin thread up and holding the threads until it completes the first few stitches, and that seems to help a lot but do I really have to do that for every object? Any advice?

Designs with Linux

I just got a used scan and cut sdx225 yesterday. I mainly got it for appliqué for my embroidery. Easy enough to send the files I make it Hatch over to USB.

But I want to try to experiment more with the scan and cut, what software do I use? I didn’t bother trying canvas workspace because I know it will only be an app in October. Is there any way to get it working with Linux or is there another design maker thing I could try on my PC? Also is there anywhere to look for other peoples designs for inspiration? Thanks.

Advice please!! Trouble shooting Husqvarna Viking ruby deluxe thread nesting and loose thread issues when embroidering.

I got my machine a few weeks ago (used) and sometimes it’s fine, but I keep having loose thread loops here and there and but then when I get halfway through a project, there’s usually a problem with thread nesting.

I thought it was the needle plate so I got the straight stitch only one, didn’t help. Thought it was the thread, tried different threads and set ups making sure it didn’t enter the machine tangled.

Even when it’s not thread nesting, i don’t really see the bobbin on the back so I’ve tried tightening the top tension. thread The auto tension has it sent to 2.8. I have played with and put it up to 3.2 and that seems to help but I still get the loose threads and then thread nesting.

Happens on all stabilizers and on my magnetic and regular hoops. Maybe it’s a hooping issue but I’ve watched so many videos and think I’m pulling it tight enough and the projects are usually okay in the beginning. Tried new and different kinds of needles.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! This is my first computerized machine as I’ve only worked with vintage singers in the past.

Indoor cage ideas?

Hi guys. I’ve been raising meat rabbits for a few years now, I have a large colony set up outside that’s been going great! I recently got 2 angora rabbits for fiber and to partially keep as a pet as they’re difficult to keep outside in the heat. I’ve made wire cages for outside before but does anyone have any indoor cage recommendations? Looking for something with wire flooring and a waste catch tray as to not damage their fur.

First time spinning! From my new angora rabbit!

Went to a fiber festival this weekend and got inspired. I’ve raised many rabbits but finally got an angora! He’s so sweet and now happy that he finally doesn’t have fur in his eyes (if anyone has any name ideas let me know!). I crochet and knit but this was my first time shearing an animal, carding and spinning yarn. The yarn is pretty uneven ( crochet sample in second pic) but this was a lot of fun! I can’t believe how soft angora fur is and I’m so excited to make enough for an actual project, just have to practice a bit more first.

Completely my fault, left him alone for a minute while I was washing the cover. Thinking about making a pillow at least but does anyone else have any other ideas?

Completely my fault. I had it covered with this blanket while I was washing the cover and I left my puppy alone for just a few minutes. Is there any help of fixing this, can I buy another piece of foam and glue it in there??? not even sure where I’d get that.

I’ve previously fixed up a 301a and 401a. Looking for a treadle machine and came across this one or $50. Does it look in too rough of shape? Really loving the decals
