Just curious what this could be on a few leaves of my new George Vancouver rose... It didn't seem to be there when I took it home, and has spread over the last week or so.
Any idea what I should treat it with?
I gave it a little spray of copper fungicide to start, which is why the leaves look shiny lol. I hope that's okay....!
Thanks in advance for your help ☺️
Started this watermelon from seed in late April (Zone 5b). Variety is called 'Sugar Baby'.
I tried to grow watermelon last year but I abandoned them once the summer draught hit. This year has been a lot cooler with more rain, so finally I get to see some little watermelons appear! Can't wait to see them grow!
I have been eyeing this one up at our local greenhouse for a while now, I just love this shade of pink!! 🩷 supposed to be hardy to our Canadian winters here in Zone 5b.
Right now I have it set in a little bed I just created by our front doorstep, but I'm not 100% sure it will stay there... I find choosing a good location really tough! This is the third rose I have bought this year, I think a new addiction has started.... 😅
My first time successfully growing them 🩷 started them in April and they finally bloomed the start of July!
I planted this rose in late May, and it has finally come into bloom in the last week - it is so lovely!! It still has a few more blooms left to open as well. I can't wait to watch it grow over the next few years!
"A 56-year-old Island EMS paramedic who died in a collision Tuesday is being remembered by his friends and colleagues as an inspirational, dedicated and community-minded person.
Mike MacKenzie was driving an ambulance that collided with a transport truck in New Brunswick near the Confederation Bridge on Tuesday morning.
Another paramedic, 23-year-old Jenna Croucher from Nine Mile Creek, also died in the collision, as well as a 77-year-old woman from Montague."
Was not familiar with polyantha roses until I met this one! Just planted her yesterday and plan to pair her with a small standard lilac beside the walkway to our front door, along with some spring & summer bulbs. She's cute 💜
After doing more searching for polyantha roses, I really fell in love with The Fairy 🩷 if anyone has photos of theirs I would love to see them! Or any other polyantha rose you love!
I planted my first rose bush this spring - a Tequila Supreme (it has five buds coming in so far!). I check it pretty much every 1-2 days, and today is the first time I've noted these dots on two of the leaves.
It has been *very* rainy and cool in my climate the last few weeks, based on what I've read that means it could be prime conditions for black spot. I just wanted to check with some of you rose pros to see what your thoughts are.
I'd like to start treating it right away if I can! Hopefully I have caught it early (if it is indeed black spot)
Thank you! 🩷
