I've never grown agave before nor been too interested in them. This is a first attempt.

Tickets down memory lane

Found this chronology of ticket types in some old high school belongings. Possibly the most garish train tickets of any network. Enterprising students had a field day scamming the older systems. It wasn't hard.

Interesting to see reference to the Melbourne Olympics of 1996 that never were, on the back of one of the tickets.

Does anyone know more about the 'Neighbourhood' system of ticketing? I could only find a Moorabbin Neighbourhood ticket. Doubtless there were many others.

Advice for growing Tillandsias outdoors in Melbourne

I would like to plant up a large bit of driftwood will multiple Tillandsia species and keep it outdoors under cover in an easterly aspect. Does anyone know if they will survive the extremes of Melbourne's climate and any tips for best varieties?

We have been growing Spanish Moss or Old Man's Beard outdoors successfully but want to try other species of Tillandsia.

Thanks in advance for any help 🙏

Tips for Epacris impressa

I'm walking past plenty of these in flower in the bush right now but can never sustain one in my Melb garden for more than a year. Any tips? What are people doing to have success with them? Do they do better in a container?

Would love to establish a mass planting.

Stapelia in bloom

The flowers are durable and long lasting but be thankful you can't smell it! Relying on flies for pollination they reek of rotting meat (not the kind of flower to give your girlfriend).
