How do you greet other FJs on the road?

I know my friend who drives a Miata says they open and close their headlights when they see each other

Do we have a standard greeting? I’ve just been waving. I saw one person turned on their wipers which was cool

Anybody got rock rails and installed a step?

I’m thinking about buying these steps since it’s a little hard getting in and out since I just have rock rails and not running boards. Can anybody vouch for how these are? Would they look goofy?

Any tips on replacing diff fluid?

Hi, 08 brick here. I’m new to car maintenance and was planning to replace my front and rear differential fluid and the transfer case fluid

Any recommendations on type i should get and any pointers on doing the change myself? I know I should open the fill plug first before draining

I’m also planning to do this in my driveway that’s at a small tilt to the side. Would that cause any problems? It’s not a huge slope but wondering if I should try and make her as level as I can (or if it even matters)

Is there an air mattress that anyone’s used?

I took my brick camping last weekend and was thinking it may be nice sleeping in my baby next time rather in a tent

Would I be able to use an air mattress for the back? I’ve seen a few on Amazon but I figured it would be pretty tight back there still

What’s the top three maintenance items you would do?

I recently bought a 2008 brick with 145k miles but it’s unclear how much maintenance it’s had in the past. So far I’ve replaced the oil, coolant, and brake fluid. I’m wondering what the major things I should do next

I was thinking maybe spark plugs and diff fluid and transfer case fluid swap? Anything else that I should 100% do right now if I don’t know the old service history?

My neighbor said I was incorrect the other day when I said I left my sweater in the “truck”. I know it’s an SUV, but just curious if anyone else calls their rig a truck or if it’s just me

The dealer told me it had stock suspension

I bought my 08 around six months ago and the Dealer that sold it to me told me it was stock suspension. However, when I look at it, maybe it’s not? Anybody know if this looks modified?
