The back fat is now interrupting with the band of the bra…

So I lost a lot of weight before getting pregnant (it was the main aim of weight loss) and I struggled with the bands of the 2 pin fastening bra because the back fat would engulf it.. anyway, lost weight, slim back - no problem.

Now I’ve put weight back on and I’m looking for a solution that would incorporate a nursing bra also. I don’t mind having a 3 pin fastener or even a pull over.

I’m currently 23+5 and my boobs haven’t really grown much - more of a fuller B cup now than a saggy one they were this time last year.. but I like my bras to be underwired and have padding so it gives a bit of oomph - this is what I’ve not yet come across with many maternity bras I’ve seen in my doom scrolling.

Any recommendations to tick all the boxes?

Early movements??

Hi folks - hope you’re all managing to keep cool in this god awful heat!

I was just wondering. I’m currently 22 weeks pregnant, first child, anterior placenta etc.

Am I feeling early movements or is it trapped wind? I’ve not been uncomfortable or bloated with this feeling (opened bowels quite substantially and quite recently) and yet during the night (in like the deep hours of the early morning) I feel what I can only describe as a brewing/bubbling sensation - usually localised to one area which is either side but quite forward of my mons pubis, so I imagine underneath all the major organs (such as the intestines etc but I could be wrong)

I know they say restricted feeling on movement is usually the case especially with an anterior placenta and it can be as late as 24 weeks but I want to know if I’m feeling the movement now or mistaking it for gas moving through the system.

Thanks again. And drink that drink!!

FTM, elective vs natural

Hi ladies (and gents!)

A little bit about myself, 35f and 39m, FTM - conceived on first cycle after having coil removed and losing 6st on mounjaro (stopped 2 months before coil removed) 😬 - 20 weeks on Tuesday.

Had my second midwife appt a couple of weeks ago and she wanted to confirm delivery of baby. I expressed my wish to go elective and she asked me why.

Simply put, I don’t want the tearing - front or back! And it seems a lot less stressful having a planned procedure rather than wait it out until baby comes, with the possibility of complications resulting in section anyway - husband has thoughts along the same lines.

But the midwife seemed to have poopoo’d this idea.
I get that with any surgical procedure there’s risk of infection and complications etc- I’ve got a mild medical background as has my husband so we’re not living in naivety. The midwife explained a few of the benefits of having a vaginal birth (such as all the gunk and fluid gets squeezed out of the baby’s lungs as it passes through the canal which encourages breathing) and that having a section can limit the potential of having more in the future because of scarring etc..

I’m not entirely closed off to the idea of a natural birth - maybe I’m being too scaredy cat and just need to get on with it 😅 I know at the end of the day, my body - my decision unless medically advised otherwise.. but I’m a low risk pregnancy and just wanted to vent? I guess? Or get a feel for what other FTMs are choosing to do.

Hope you’re having a lovely weekend regardless :)

17+5weeks and the worlds worst cold on the hottest bank holiday weekend

I’m not laughing any more ladies.

I’ve had a very simple pregnancy up to now (thankfully, as FTM) but last weekend I was in Cornwall having a lovely time with the husband and MIL and we came back on Monday night and I’ve not been okay ever since.

Popping paracetamol regularly, used atleast a box of Kleenex mansize tissues, coughed my guts up every single night and sleep is nowhere to be seen.

I can’t taste anything anymore, I’ve been having atleast 3l of chilled drink throughout the day, I’ve got an AC unit on order which I should hopefully get today.. I’m thoroughly miserable and isolating myself from everyone in the house and I could cry I’m so done with being ill.

Colds for me usually last about a week but this is going strong on day 6, showing no signs of letting up.

Sorry for the rant. I don’t have anything better to do with myself at the moment - hope you’re all keeping cool with the weather and staying hydrated! - I’m on my fourth rewatch of new girl to try and keep myself entertained if anything!

Currently 15 weeks, ftm. I change my underwear every day, I shower every day and yet my leggings always have a distinct odour that I can smell almost always!

Before I became pregnant I could wear the same pair of leggings a few times a week before thinking they need to be washed, now it seems I can get 2 days max out of them before the smell puts me off entirely 😖
