Tried vegan Korean food in Insadong and now I want to go back

I tried this vegan Korean restaurant in Insadong during my last trip to Seoul, and honestly it was such a nice surprise.

I feel like when people talk about food in Korea, it’s usually BBQ, fried chicken, street food, or cafe hopping, but this meal felt really comforting and home-style. There was rice, tteokbokki, stew, side dishes, and fried dumplings, and everything still had that Korean flavor without feeling too fake for a vegan

I’m not fully vegan, but I really enjoyed how simple and satisfying it was. It also made me realize that vegan food in Korea can be way more interesting than just salads or basic veggie dishes.

Has anyone else tried vegan or temple-style food in Insadong? I’d love to know more places to try next time I’m in Seoul.

Are international K-beauty fans missing out on the "REAL" Korean skincare products?

Lately I’ve been wondering if international K-beauty audiences are actually missing out on a lot of skincare products that are popular in Korea itself.

Whenever I look up “best Korean skincare” online, I keep seeing the same brands over and over again, Laneige, COSRX, Beauty of Joseon, Anua, medicube etc. But after spending more time in Korea recently, I realized a lot of products that seem popular locally aren’t really talked about much internationally.

It also made me curious whether some products are mainly marketed toward Western consumers rather than actually being widely used in Korea.

For people living in Korea or more familiar with the local beauty scene: What are some underrated Korean skincare products that are genuinely popular in Korea but not very well known overseas?

Especially interested in products for hyperpigmentation, barrier repair, texture, or overall skin health rather than super trendy TikTok products.
