Corrupt officials are being protected by politicians !
A recent viral video showed Janpad Panchayat Durg CEO Rupesh Pandey arguing with a BJP member in front of an MLA. The situation escalated so much that he was eventually suspended.
In his defense, he claimed that he hadn't said anything wrong and stated that he would approach the High Court. He has also received political backing from a former Chief Minister.
But from my personal experience, I find it hard to sympathize with him. I submitted an application for the renewal and allotment of an industrial shed, and instead of processing it, he kept the matter pending for nearly six months. In the end, I learned that industrial sheds were allegedly being allotted to people known to him, free of cost.
I have personally seen villagers bringing cash and handing it over to a clerk in his office.
What I don't understand is why officials facing such serious allegations of corruption continue to receive support from politicians and, in some cases, legal protection. Accountability should matter more than political connections.
Many of you young people are preparing to appear for the NEET examination. I myself sat for NEET back in 2018, and today I want to share my experience and the lessons I've gathered along the way.
Ever since I was a child, my family had one dream for me to become a doctor. I'm sure many of you can relate. The pressure to take PCB, to enroll in coaching, to prepare for NEET it was immense. But deep down, I was never truly passionate about becoming a doctor. And so, I didn't make it through.
Instead, I chose a different path. I pursued a BSc in Microbiology, completed my postgraduation three years ago, and I'm now considering a PhD. I also run a small business on the side. My college years were some of the best of my life.
My friends who cleared NEET, on the other hand, just completed their MBBS nearly 7-8years after finishing school. Some are now doing their internships, while others are already preparing for NEET PG. Their journey was grueling. Almost all of them spent 1-2years in Kota, and their college life was defined by relentless stress and sacrifice.
This brings me to the most important thing I want you to understand NEET is not just an exam that determines your career. It is an exam that shapes your entire life. I have seen too many brilliant people take 3-4 consecutive drops, silently deteriorating in mental health, surrendering their happiness in pursuit of a single outcome.
So if you don't make it please, do not despair. Life is far larger than one examination. There are countless paths to a meaningful, fulfilling, and successful life. Find yours.
