Fastyr mie my fellow Isle dwellers! You might have some useful advice that could help me out of my current predicament.

I need to switch my Irish license for a Manx license. The person endorsing the reverse of the snaps must have know me for at least two years, in addition to a couple of other stipulations.

I’m hamstrung as anyone I’ve known that long is either a relative or isn’t one of the prescribed endorser types (civil servant, profession etc).

There must be some way of solving this problem, as I expect there’s plenty of newcomers every year to the island that find themselves in this exact position. As it stands, I’m risking losing out on a work opportunity unless I can get my license exchanged.

To me, the Manx government has always seemed pragmatic in terms of promoting and cultivating the local economy. A negative little loophole like this has to have a solution!

Long shot, but can anyone remember this lad from the late noughties, or a few years afterwards.

He was some white, Irish young fella in his 20s from South Dublin who had notions that he was a bad ass gangsta rapper.

He uploaded a song to YouTube, auto-tuned to feck, that was appallingly bad. I think it was picked up by a radio station (possibly phantom) who launched it into the memeosphere (patent pending 😉). The rest was history, and people were cackling down their sleeves at him and his output for a month or two.

I think his name might have been Tom O’Connor, but I can’t find anything online.

Hi folks, I’ve an old Rolex in perfect condition that I’m thinking of selling. Works perfectly with all the relevant packaging and paperwork. Was bought about 20 years ago in Charles Alexander.
