​I’m about to start college soon and was added to an unofficial group chat with freshers and seniors. I made a joke that was a bit unprofessional. A 3rd-year senior didn't like it, called me, scolded me on the phone, and kicked me out of the group.

​I immediately apologized. He said he’ll only add me back after a week to teach me a lesson.

​Even though it’s a "temporary ban," I’m terrified. I have to spend the next 4 years on this campus. Are these seniors going to hold a grudge and target me offline, or do they completely forget this stuff once college actually starts? Has anyone else messed up with seniors before Day 1 and survived?
