As summer approaches, the kimono styles and fabric begin to change and im already dying of heat exhaustion here in Osaka with my awase kimono. Its my first summer with my kitsuke hobby and with my friends I'll be visiting a few places around japan in kimono and im on the hunt for summer fabrics.

Im currently looking at making a purchase of a 絽 kimono but unsure about the fabric of the nagajuban underneath.

Does the nagajuban for a 絽 kimono also have to be 絽?

Can you wear a regular cotton or polyester nagajuban with it ? Since 絽 can be kinda see-through im a bit conscious of how it might look since its my first summer kimono.
