My first screen print!!

Hi! This art isn’t my own art but it’s what made me want to start screen printing in the first place! Also the second pic isn’t going to be my finished product, just trying my hand at putting the paint down.

I would like some constructive criticism on what I could do differently on my next one. I used drawing fluid to put the outline down and then used the screen filler over it. Obviously I had some hiccups where the filler still covered parts of the outline. What should I do differently next time to prevent that? How should I apply screen filler easier so that it covers the whole canvas? Or is that really needed? Any tips, critique, or just opinions are welcomed!

I made a NHA CCMA study guide for myself & thought I would share

I haven’t used it yet but I used the NHA study guide outline and some of the study guides on here to try to make the most comprehensive one with links
I have the free online NHA study guide pdf that was shared here that I’m also using along with the links that I’ll be studying along with as well

I’ve been a CNA for 14yrs and have worked in the capacity as a medical assistant on and off for 6 so I have the basic knowledge down just need the facts and a huge refresher

TLDR;

Here’s a link to the pdf: https://cdn.fbsbx.com/v/t59.2708-21/768053916_1065149792526003_4633042516383677913_n.pdf/Weekly-Lesson-Planner-for-NHA-CCMA-exam.pdf?_nc_cat=111&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=2b0e22&_nc_ohc=p113YzhVlHYQ7kNvwHBx3k7&_nc_oc=AdrG5rZ6AzrhcWPNtIYdsWJURzYkX1NerpIfVOdkjnisSMbxJRWvs_6isUw-Z8ogm6irpoOMOzIM8kX1W1ZQODF0&_nc_ad=z-m&_nc_cid=3&_nc_zt=7&_nc_ht=cdn.fbsbx.com&_nc_gid=uTQo9qwPM9VzG0xfdH1npA&_nc_ss=7a338&oh=03_Q7cD6AHmNKNKAkDBkeMA8NsR1haQOc2Xjuz2xmW51mJLVdsQ-g&oe=6A7974F2&dl=1

I wondering if I can use a pencil on my screen

I want to paint a design on my screen but I want to outline it in pencil first? Will that ruin the screen for future prints?

I’ve grown up very close to my Venus line

Currently live even closer to it now.

Wondering if moving away would make my life harder? I wouldn’t say I have had an easy life but I feel like I’ve lucked out with the circumstances I’ve been dealt?

Also wonder what it could be helping and hindering? Super new to this and just super intrigued by actually growing up on a major line?

This smells heavenly

I had ran out of their glycolic toner and really needed so I ran into the DT across the street from my job. This was the only bottle left of this scent, also picked up the fig one, it doesn’t have the lid and it’s a little tore up but it smells SO good!

Working in Chicago

Hi everyone!
My partner and I are anticipating a move to Chicago in the near future, and I'm hoping to get some insight from those working in healthcare.
A little about me: I've been a CNA for 14 years. My current title is Patient Care Technician (PCT) in an outpatient clinic connected to a hospital, but my day-to-day responsibilities are very similar to those of a Medical Assistant.

A few questions:

Which hospitals tend to pay CNAs/PCTs the best?

Are there any outpatient clinics or health systems you'd recommend working for?

Do outpatient clinics in the Chicago area hire Medical Assistants who are not formally certified/registered but have extensive experience?

What is the typical pay range for CNAs, PCTs, and MAs in the area?

Which hospital systems have the best benefits and work-life balance?

Are there any hospitals or clinics you would avoid?

How difficult is it to get hired into outpatient roles versus inpatient roles?

Are there certain suburbs or neighborhoods with more healthcare job opportunities?

Is union membership common for CNAs/PCTs in Chicago, and does it make a significant difference in pay?

For someone with my background, would you recommend staying in a PCT role or trying to transition fully into an MA position?

I'd appreciate any advice or experiences you can share. Thanks!
