Super Star Destroyer Wall Mount has been conquered

For those who don't know, I build mounts for a living. I'm super excited for this one. It's insanely strong, and very straight forward to install. Well deserving for this set (which was a fun 13 hr build!)

I'm still working on arms that reach out at an angle, but that's going to be a huge undertaking for this model. But since I have this base figured out, it shouldn't be hard to adapt.

You get two brackets, and a display setup for the minifigs and plaque.

Before you ask, its' stupid strong. Insanely stupid strong. Just one bracket maxed out my 110lb luggage scale, and you get two.

Let me know if you have any questions! Finding it won't be hard if you know my stuff.

4 Week post op today

Time for an update! I've been out of crutches for about a week and that alone has felt amazing.

I would say I'm at about 80% mobility to what I was before surgery. So I still have a bit to go before hitting pre-surgery baseline.

Today is the first day back in the gym, and I think I'm going to sit on this bike for a while. I still get clicking which sucks but expected.

Pain is low and ROM is around 130 degrees. I'm about 9 inches from touching my heel to my butt.

My biggest issue right now is the last bit of swelling that really gets loud when my knee is totally straight and under tension. As it goes down, new pains pop up as things start making new contacts.

The other is aethrogenic inhibition. Namely the wiring between my brain and my quad specifically is out of wack. So I'm focusing on exercises to help those muscles remember how to fire. I think that's the primary contributor to my lack of stability when walking.

I still do a couple rounds of the ice pump each day.

I'm definitely now in the long game portion which I know will be a slog. Just hoping I don't do anything dumb that sets me back 7 months from now. But for now things are looking good!

2 weeks 1 day post op (3 7.5mm plugs)

Had my post op appointment on day 12 and things are looking great according to my doc.

With effort, my ROM is 100 degrees. He says I can do 80 to 90 lbs of pressure right now. I'm getting better at single crutching it, and come next Wednesday (3 weeks out) I can start weaning off crutches.

The atrophy in my quad is pretty bad. I've been using a TENS unit just to keep my muscles awake and active and I think that helps.

I try to do the leg lifts and pumps and stuff. But I don't know how much that helps with walking strength. I think I'm just slowing down the atrophy until I can do the real work to build muscle back.

So far, things look on track to be ready for my cruise at 6 weeks!

I'll update again when I'm off crutches.

2 Days Post op and surprised with the pain

Three 7.5mm plugs, which is three times what we thought going in. I had 4 loose bodies removed, 10% of lateral meniscus trimmed, and 3 plugs.

I'm surprised at how much I underestimated the pain. Last night was the worst, but my hope is that it's because my nerves were on fire. The nerve block had finally worn off completely and it felt like the nerves had fully awaken and weren't happy.

I'm having a really hard time getting comfortable. Luckily my bed is motorized so my feet are up, and I just got an ice water pump machine. But no position feels comfortable at all.

I think I'm on the upswing, but I guess I'm a bit nervous. Did y'all feel this much pain? My goal is to be at least able to walk around by the time we go on our cruise in 6 weeks 😅. Hopefully I didn't overestimate my healing ability.

Title says it all. Received this guy in the mail despite never ordering it, or even knowing this thing exists. I don't know if this is a brushing scam, or a new crappy marketing tactic and they found me through data mining.

Either way, based on what I'm reading, I think this belongs in the garbage.
