Ordered a new peace lily yesterday and it came like this
the soil was damp and the top was covered with cling film during shipping

the soil doesn’t really smell funky but I am concerned about the yellow and black stem

The plant gets indirect light near a window where other peace lilies have done well

I havent really watered it since I only got it yesterday

What should be my next plan of action?

bought a new peace lily online and one of the leaves is yellow and few of the stems have weird tips

the plant came with the top of the soil cling wrapped and was damp when I opened it so I havent given it much water

It will stay near a window with indirect light
I’ve put it in front of a wall just for clicking a photo without a distracting background

any help will be appreciated
