(Not so distant future) lineup

soon enough we’ll be able to roll out:

bazzana, Jose, delauter, manzardo, Martinez, Rocchio, Watson, C, Kwan

with a bench of arias, Schneemann, C, fry

I think we’ll all feel a lot better about everything when we get here (knock on wood for health)

Not exciting by important

I don’t think we’re in for an overly exciting draft night (hope I’m wrong), I’m more or less just expecting us to attach our 1st round pick to schroeder and move to the 2nd round with another future second rounder as well

Roster moves I’d like to see

ingle should be up for halpin and the guardians should be looking for a place to offload Kwan as a 4th OF defensive replacement type…. I’d also like to see aleman up for Dion with sabrowski on his way back as well, we need some injection in the lineup and the BP and there’s 3 obvious guys who have been showing they’re ready for a shot Watson (who’s up), ingle (who’s getting hot again), and aleman (who’s been incredible all season)

F’s to C’s

There has been a ton of negativity in regards to this team especially from the local media... and a lot of it is undoubtedly based around the QB position which this post LIKELY won’t apply to (but who knows)… I just think this team was just awful to watch and plain bad last year and they still won 5 games, so with the (potential) upgrades in the WR room, the OL room, and coaching I just wonder if we’re all being blinded by the QB to the point where we’re ignoring the rest of the upgrades group… and honestly even QB will be hard to repeat how awful that position was the last 2 seasons under different offensive tutelage with more (again potential) talent

Bitonio?!

this is fascinating to say the least, we’ll see if it’s true soon enough… but having bitonio to help bring fano along would certainly be welcome

Missing OF

Kwan has been a little better lately which is nice to see and I think Delauter is getting more unlucky than anything but that Schneemann/angel spot has become a massive black hole again unfortunately… I THINK the guardians are going to have to go address OF on the trade deadline but I think it would really behoove them to give one or more of Valera/ingle/watson a real look beforehand, to see how dire of a need it really is… I also wonder if they are going to allow arias that first opportunity which we should have more insight into with what he’s doing in Columbus on his rehab assignment, but the main point is angel chases too much and Schneemann isn’t an everyday guy

It’s time

Timpf doesn’t have a horse in the race and looks at Donovan from an unbiased fan/analyst of basketball… I genuinely fear we are already on the other side of decline for Mitchell and this is the last chance they have to realize it before it’s too late…

Backcourt

18 assists and 22 TOs for the backcourt through 3 games is just so damn unacceptable… I get it they haven’t shot well but this just points to the well known fact that there is no consistent drive to keep the bigs involved and that is the number one reason I personally believe they are in this 0-3 hole

I’m a Cavs fan…

This is just my personal opinion but I can’t help the way I feel… this team has just been a miserable watch almost all season, and the playoffs have been no different if you take out both game 7s and the 2nd and 3rd quarter of the game one… I fear the Cavs are about to go deeper into the hole over a sunk cost fallacy in their harden and Mitchell moves, and pay 2 players who just aren’t good enough to win at the highest levels which we have 26 combine years of proof…neither has been the most consistent player this postseason that would be the almost 25 year old Evan Mobley who would likely have to be the trade chip for the next “all in” move and it’s going to hurt and suck because I still just won’t believe a team with 2 defensive liabilities at guard can win and now you’ll be taking away the safety blanket that even made it semi-plausible this could work… bummed man just bummed

Columbus clippers

I understand this isn’t Columbus clippers reddit but that clippers lineup could honestly compete in the majors… they activated kayfus and added ralphy today

watson, ingle, ralphy, genao, jones, kayfus, fairchil, huff, Brito could get 4+ runs against the tigers tonight without a doubt it my mind

without even mentioning Valera or tolentio lol crazy how deep this organization is from the position player pool now

Ralphy/FO process

Ralphy can’t have an alcoholic beverage for the next week+ still yet he is now a phone call away from being a stalwart in this lineup… the magnitudes of prospect they‘ve been dealing with lately is greater that we’ve seen in a long time… but something in the process has changed for the guardians FO since LTA/bibee/williams, there hasn’t been that same desire to hold guys back or have a set number of ABs they need to see they’re trusting their evaluations and the work these kids are putting in and it’s paying real dividends with a lot more exciting guys coming

Monken

Obviously no one is going to believe Watson can even be competent until we see it… some people don’t care about winning over their morality which is their right… however monken is getting his first look at each one of these guys and if he deems that Watson is the guy he believes gives them the best chance to win, then I’m open minded especially with how stale stefasnkis offense had gotten sans nick Chubb

Lineup

if the Jose and delauter flip is permanent I think I’d like to see them go 2 steps further and roll with Jose as a the leadoff hitter followed by bazzana and then Delauter…. Jose sees pitches and draws walks, once he’s on base we know he’s a threat which distracts the pitcher with another guy who sees pitches and draws walks, who also steals bags… and then when you have 2 guys on who can distract the pitcher you know what you get? another guy who sees pitches and draws walks lol it would just be such a pain in the ass for pitchers to see those 3 guys back to back to back…. questions, thoughts, concerns?

with the obvious caveat that its been a small sample, do we think Kenny rolls strus out there with a lineup that’s been pretty bad or do we see someone else tonight?
