Elite Experience!

The Yelp Elite Experience just keeps getting better and better! I attended another Elite Experience yesterday, and this time, it was a DJ class. The instructor taught us different techniques and then demonstrated their own approach on their DJ style To top it all off, we even got the opportunity to DJ ourselves!

I honestly wasn’t sure how interesting this experience would be, but I’m so glad I was proven wrong. It was such a fun and unique experience that I had to share, and I’m looking forward to the next Yelp Elite Experience!

Hidden Gem restaurants?

I visited an amazing hidden-gem restaurant with my partner yesterday, and the food was absolutely delicious. I was surprised to see that the restaurant didn’t have many reviews.

I checked the “Not Recommended” section and saw only 4 reviews in there. The restaurant doesn’t have a huge number of reviews overall, but the majority are overwhelmingly positive, with many people highlighting how authentic and delicious the dishes are. There was only 3 reviews from Elite for this restaurant.

Have you ever come across a restaurant with very few reviews that turned out to be incredible and deserves to be much more well-known? I’d love to hear your recommendations!

Elite All Star

I got my first Elite All Star, my CM told me it was for last month contribution. I hope there are some fun Elite event this month! I'm happy to be an Elite and contribute to the platform. Congratulation to every other Elite who got one too!

I'm ready for the business owners and suspicious accounts to come complain in my post with distorted facts or trying to bring us down which won't affect us. It's obvious they'd rather spend more time complaining here than working to grow their own businesses and thinking by complaining Yelp would change to satisfy them when it hasn't affected their business. Yelp is making money and moving forward.

Should Yelp change their business model?

I saw a post yesterday about somebody saying Yelp business model wasn’t working so it got me wondering if Yelp should change some things?

I can’t see that post anymore. I like Yelp and being an Elite has been wonderful, so I'm glad to leave my reviews on there. Too many fake reviews on google and it’s so difficult to do searches.

Yelp partners with ChatGPT!

I'm a huge supporter of AI and using AI. They made my job more efficient and easier when I have to deal with many things in the media industry. I'm happy to hear that Yelp has now partner with ChatGPT. I hope this helps them, all those people saying Yelp is not popular anymore or going under can just keep complaining while Yelp is moving forward.

Yelp service can determine a business review?

I had a back and forth discussion in my last post with another user about this. They said that if a business pays for Yelp service then their reviews will be shown and not go into the Not Recommended section. I know that's a lie because everyone who said that here can never provide proof. I just wanted to hear other yelper opinion on this, why do some people think this or believe this?

What was your experience after your review got to the owner?

I went to have dinner with my partner last night at a highly rated and known restaurant in my area. But I didn't have a good experience because the service was very slow, my seafood dish was not fully cook and the sauce was very salty. I let the waiter know and she apologize, then she took it back to the kitchen and instead of making me a new dish I think they just microwave or heated up the dish I got. I didn't finish it because the sauce was still the same and my partner shared his steak with me. His steak was delicious and the fries. My partner tried the seafood and agreed that the sauce was salty.

I give them a 3 star and wrote my review based on my experience. The manager respond to my review and asked me to fill out a form on a website. I got an email that my response has been escalated to the owner. So I was just wondering if other Yelper had a similar experience and what was the outcome?

Taking photos?

How do you feel about other people judgement when they see you take pictures of your food or drinks or just taking pictures?

I'm asking this because I went to grab dessert with my partner and the presentation was so beautiful that I took pictures of it at the bench outside of the place and notice people were giving me the "eyes" if you know what I mean. I wasn't bother by it but just wanted to hear other people opinion.

Another Elite messaged you about your Yelp review?

I left a 4 star rating to a sushi place I ate it and I added context on why it was a 4 star experience. Another Yelp Elite user sent me a message about my review today and told me to change my review to a 5 stars because of this and that. They wrote a 5 star review for the restaurant and is a regular there, they check in over 30 times. Has anyone else experience this?

Favorite Yelp Swag?

I went to a Elite Experience yesterday and had a great time. The food and drinks were amazing and they give a cute Yelp swag which was a spray to clean your phone screen. I also got a small tote bag, I'll come back for sure as a regular customer. What was your favorite Yelp swag?

People Love Us on Yelp!

I stopped by a new coffee shop this morning to pick up coffee for our team and notice the People Love Us on Yelp sticker at the door. So I was thinking how many places have you seen the Yelp sticker at?

If Yelp is a scam ....?

I know this will be a controversial subject that will get both side feedback. I made a post before about the hate Yelp get and people response were helpful to me. I had time to read past posts here by different people during my breaks. So my question is, if Yelp is a scam or extort business then why isn't there a CNN investigate special on it or Fox News or any local news investigate. I live in Vegas and our ABC13 KTNV will do special investigation into supposed claims or shady things. I also didn't find any lost lawsuit on this with the help of ChatGPT and Google searches.

When I asked people on here for their proofs when they said Yelp is a scam or extort businesses, they either don't respond .. verbally attack me or accuse me of being someone else. I just want to see the proof because I contribute to Yelp as a first year Yelp Elite and had the privilege on going to my first Elite event where everyone was nice.

Hi, the community has been helpful with my questions. Can businesses get their Yelp business page removed? Someone said they can get lawyers involved to remove the business page so I was wondering if anyone has any experience with that?

Thx you to everyone who contribute to my last post when I asked about the hate with Yelp. I didn't expect it to get so much attention. But I get the idea now and what to look out for, thx you everyone.

I had time to read some people post here and was wondering, do people read the reviews in the Not Recommended area. I never scroll that far down on the app until I saw people talking about it here and then saw it. It's really hidden down there, I never looked at that before or knew it was there.

I notice that there many hateful response about Yelp here. I thought we are suppose to keep it friendly? I like Yelp, I write review on it because i think it's great and also my go to when deciding where to eat or what service to use over google. It's great that I see the reviews when using Apple Maps.
